So…..over the weekend Hip-Pop sensation Nicki Minaj shut down her Twitter account of 11 million+ followers in response to one of her biggest fans leaking new music from Roman Reloaded on Nicki Daily.com. Well, two words come to mind when I hear such news……..”GOOD and RIDDANCE”! Number #1 rule in the game: NEVER cut your nose to spite your face.
All over the world “Barbz” and Ken dolls are in an uproar due to the fact that Nicki M has left the cyber throne, but not without first taking shots at the editor of NickiDaily.com forcing the person into “cyber” hiding with the deletion of NickiDaily.com as well as their Twitter account. Subsequently, after Nicki M expressed her extreme displeasure that her #1 fan site would post her unreleased new music, naturally the rest of the “Dolls” came to the site’s defense, hurling a barrage of insults at Dear Old Nicki and eliciting the following responses from her Twitter timeline:
“And that’s exactly why I’m paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter,” she wrote. “Smdh – don’t cry 4 me argentina”
“Like seriously, it’s but so much a person can take. Good f—ing bye.”
My question is…..WHO the entire f*** does Onika Miraj think she actually is?? I’m sure she’s most likely confused with all the MANY different characters she plays, but to delete her Twitter account was a bit extreme to say the least. Step away for a couple of days….. hell maybe even a month just to teach them a lesson. Who does she think buys her sub par music?? Ding ding ding, her fans….. The same ones she’s currently shunning and giving the silent treatment to…..I guess YMCB will be purchasing all remaining units of Roman Reloaded on the shelves that she’s currently promoting!
Personally I’m not a fan of the Hip Pop genre she’s perpetuating. I actually don’t think her leaving Twitter was such a bad thing…. IF bad at all. Her music sounds like the equivalent of dinning at a Chinese restaurant that serves Pizza, Hamburgers, etc. I mean yea you can offer it on the menu for some smuck to buy…..but is it really quality?? Is her Pop/Rap music truly quality?? Maybe it’s me and I just can’t get down with my rap artist making reference to being at the trap (Bees In the Trap) and in the same breath releasing music like “Marilyn Monroe” or “Starship”!! Believe me, I don’t knock her hustle but at the same time I refuse to line her pockets. Let’s just say for her career’s sake, she better snap out of her funk and remember just who has the buying power to make you a star…or bring yo ass tumbling back down to Earth’s stratosphere with the common folk……..
