The date that stoners across the globe have marked their calendars all year for is finally here……4/20! The date  and origins of 4/20 originally came about in 1971 when a group of California teenagers initially used the phrase “4:20 Louis”, which indicated a plan to search for an abandoned cannabis crop they had learned about after school at 4:20. They eventually shortened the  infamous code word to 4:20, which has become synonymous with the pot smoking  sub culture in general…..

Fast forward to 2012 and you can practically hear all the bud being sparked up  simultaneously around the world as people “wake and bake” or light it up to commemorate the eventful day….I can just imagine the hoards of people celebrating in the  streets of Amsterdam  at one of  their  local “coffee shops” ….. Hmm it’s definitely gotta be a very ZENful atmosphere in Amsterdam that’s for sure….
